This is an expression to express the speaker’s sadness, such as “I shouldn’t have done that.”, “I’m in trouble.”, “I failed it.”, “I’m disappointed.” etc.

( I lost my room key. )
わたしは おさらを わってしまいました
( I accidentally broke the plate. )

こわします・ねます・ちこく します
・ちこく してしまいました
A : わたしたちと いっしょに ゲーム しませんか?
 ( Would you like to play games with us? )

B : さきに しゅくだいを してしまうので、あとで いきます。
 ( I’ll finish my homework first, so l’m going to join later. )
