⚫️ の・こと
meaning : Nominalization“-の” and “-こと” can make noun clause.
“-の” can be changed to “-こと” basically.
yameru-no [wa] kantan-desu.
やめることは かんたんです。
yameru-koto [wa] kantan-desu.
( It’s easy to quit. )
⚫️ の
However only “の” is used with these verbs.

| きこえます kikoe-masu | can hear |
| みます mi-masu | to see |
| ききます kiki-masu | to listen |
| かんじます kanji-masu | to feel |
asoko [ni] otokonohito [ga] iru-no [ga] mie-masu.
( I can see a man over there. )
otokonohito [ga] garasu [o] watta-no [o] mi-mashita.
( I saw a man break the glass. )
⚫️ こと
In the sentence pattern “... は – ことです“, only “こと” is used.
watashi [no] shumi [wa] piano [o] hiku-koto-desu.
( My hobby is playing the piano. )
