⚫️ Verb Ta-form ほうがいいです

meaning : should do

This is an expression that you give somebody some advice.

もっと うんどう したほうがいいですよ。
motto undō shita-hō [ga] ī-desu [yo].
( You should do more exercise. )

“よ” is often used together in the ending of the sentence. It expresses the speaker’s intention which is telling something.

It is used when you advice somebody not to do something.

meaning : What should I do ?

Question Word + Verb Ta-form + らいいですか？

Question Word + Verb Conditional-form + いいですか？

These are expressions to ask for some advice.

hoshōnin [ga] iru-ndesu-ga, dō-shitara-ī-desuka?
ほしょうにんが いるんですが、どうすればいいですか？
oshōnin [ga] iru-ndesu-ga, dō-sureba-ī-desuka?
( I need a guarantor. What should I do? )

この かさは いつ かえしたらいいですか？
kono kasa [wa] itsu kaeshitara-ī-desuka?
この かさは いつ かえせばいいですか？
