⚫️ ここ・そこ・あそこ
meaning : here・there
soko [wa] samui-desuka?
A : はい、ここは さむいです。
hai, koko [wa] samui-desu.

koko [wa] samui-desu [ne].
B : ここは さむいです。
koko [wa] samui-desu.

asoko [wa] atatakai-deshō [ne].
B : あそこは あたたかいでしょう。
asoko [wa] atatakai-deshō.
ここ
here : a place where the speaker is
( When the listner and speaker are close, both say ‘ここ’. )
そこ
there : a place where the listener is
( When ‘B’ is asking to ‘A’, ‘A’ is the listener, so ‘B’ says “そこ”. )
あそこ
over there : a place far from both the speaker and the listener
⚫️ ここは … です
meaning : This place is …It means what a place for.
koko [wa] kaigishitsu-desu.
( This place is a meeting room. )
⚫️ … は ここです
meaning : … is hereIt means where something or someone is.
tanaka-san [wa] doko-desuka?
( Where is Mr.Tanaka? )
B : たなかさんは あそこです。
tanaka-san [wa] asoko-desu.
( Mr.Tanaka is over there. )
⚫️ そこ
“そ” is used when the speaker thinks the listener doesn’t know about the topic.

eki [ni] atarashī panya [ga] dekimashita. soko [no] meronpan [ga] oishī-desu.
( A new bakery was open in the station. Melon bread there is really good. )
