⚫️ Verb te Form しまいました

meaning : regret

This is an expression to express the speaker’s sadness, such as “I shouldn’t have done that.”, “I’m in trouble.”, “I failed it.”, “I’m disappointed.” etc.

へやの かぎを なくしてしまいました
heya [no] kagi [o] nakushite-shimai-mashita.
( I lost my room key. )

わたしは おさらを わってしまいました
watashi [wa] osara [o] watte-shimai-mashita.
( I accidentally broke the plate. )
