⚫️ Plain Form そうです
meaning : I heard that …It is used when you tell something that you’ve heard or read.
honya [no] tonari [ni] kafe [ga] dekiru-sōdesu.
( I heard that a new cafe will open next to the book store. )
The information resource is expressed with “によると・によれば・では”.
tenkiyohō [ni] yoruto, gogo [wa] ame [ga] furu-sōdesu.
( According to a weather forecast, it will rain in the afternoon. )
This sentence pattern can not be used in the past tense, negative form, and question form.
[NO] あめが ふるそうじゃありません。
[NO] あめが ふるそうですか?
Plain-form そうです
