“へ” is read as “e”, not “he”.
わたしは きょう しんじゅくへ いきました。 watashi [wa] kyō shinjuku [e] iki-mashita. ( I went to Shinjuku today. ) |

meaning : I’m from …
“きました ( Past tense )” is used to say where you are from.
わたしは アメリカから きました。 watashi [wa] amerika [kara] ki-mashita. ( I’m from United States. ) |

“が” is used for a subject marker, when you talk about something the listener doesn’t know.

meaning : to go … ing
It means to go to some place for certain purpose.
あたらしい へやを みにいきます。 atarashī heya [o] mi-ni-iki-masu. ( I’m going to go viewing my new room. ) |
